In California, wage and hour laws have been enacted to protect employees in the workplace.  In California, most full time employees are entitled to receive rest breaks and meal periods.  If you have been denied these rest and meal periods, you may be entitled to receive penalties from your employer for denying you these breaks.  In addition, most employees are entitled to receive overtime after 8 hours in a work day or after 40 hours in a week.  Employees are also generally entitled to receive timely payment of wages and should receive an accurate pay stub showing all hours worked and pay received.  If you believe you have not been paid for all hours worked, have been denied overtime pay, or if you believe you have been denied meal and/or rest periods, contact TRIBUIANO & YAMADA at (916) 333-5000 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
